Departing from Kaimana, Papua, the Damai I liveaboard will make its first stop at the fishing bagans in the hope of seeing some whalesharks. The diving in the current rich Triton Bay is breathtaking with a kaleidascope of softcorals and reef fish and some excellent macro subjects including ghost pipe fish and pygmy seahorses. We will dive some iconic sites like Little Komodo and David’s Rock amongst others. Once leaving the bay our next destination is Momon where we will dive a hard coral covered seamount before taking a dip in a fresh water waterfall that runs right into the sea! There will be a channel dive followed by a macro dive at the beautiful bay of Tanjung Wap. Heading west and island hop through the Watubela islands in the Banda Sea where we can dive some large seamounts with schooling fish, large sponges and the hope of seeing sharks. From here we will travel into the Banda Sea to the volcanic island of Manuk, nicknamed the “Island of the Snakes” where we can dive with both sea snakes and sea kraits amongst the schooling fish. Then we will sail north up to the “Spice Islands” and hopefully take a walk around the historic Banda Neira as well as dive some iconic sites like Batu Kapal and Lava Flow with its hard coral garden. Our liveaboard cruise ends in Ambon Bay where we will dive the muck slopes hunting for cool critters before guests can enjoy our complimentary airport transfer.
