Departing from Kaimana, Papua, the Damai I liveaboard will make its first stop at the fishing bagans in the hope of seeing some whalesharks. The diving in the current rich Triton Bay is breathtaking with a kaleidascope of softcorals and reef fish and some excellent macro subjects including ghost pipe fish and pygmy seahorses. We will dive some iconic sites like Little Komodo and David’s Rock amongst others. Once leaving the bay our next destination is Momon where we will dive a hard coral covered seamount before taking a dip in a fresh water waterfall that runs right into the sea! There will be a channel dive followed by a macro dive at the beautiful bay of Tanjung Wap. Heading north along the coast of Papua to Pulau Pisang for a day of diving including a seamount and a great macro dive amongst boulders with the chance of pygmy seahorses. From here we head into Raja Ampat and the colourful softcoral-covered reefs around the island of Misool where we can enjoy the pinnacles at Wayilbatan and Fiabacet or a nice drift along the channel at Neptune Fan Sea. We will continue north to the island of Penemu for some world class coral reefs, like Melissa’s Garden, and the photo opportunity of the lagoon from the top of the viewpoint. Moving west to Gam where there are beautiful orange softcorals at Citrus Ridge and fish action at Mayhem before exploring the wonders found under Arborek Jetty. Our last stop will be at the eastern end of the Dampier Straits. We will spend the day here diving iconic sites like Cape Kri, Blue Magic and Mioskon enjoying the schooling fish, cruising sharks and maybe rays. Our liveaboard cruise ends in Sorong, where guests can enjoy our complimentary airport transfer.
