Departing from Labuan Bajo, Damai II liveaboard will head directly into Komodo National Park and one of the most biodiverse marine protected areas in Indonesia. You will have plenty of opportunity to spot sharks, turtles, schooling fish, mantas and eels on many of these dive sites you have heard about by name: Batu Bolong, Castle Rock, Crystal Rock, Tatawa and Pink Beach. No trip to Komodo is complete without a visit to the beautiful Horseshoe Bay with famous dive sites like Torpedo Alley for a night dive with an amazing array of critters or the seamount of Cannibal Rock with its endemic marine life set against a beautiful reef. The highlight of the trip is always the chance to trek on the islands to see the the endemic Komodo Dragon but you may see other unusual wildlife during these land excursions too. We then head over the north coast of Flores to Maumere Bay and down through the channel for some critter diving at Adonara. Exploring along the south coast we shall dive some of the fishiest reefs in Indonesia; keep your eyes open for pelagics, mantas, mola mola and passing cetaceans. Continuing on to Rusa, one of the best dive areas in Indonesia, we spend our next days enjoying the beautiful coral encrusted rocks surrounded by schooling fish. The current rich Pantar Straits and Pulau Pura has a variety of dive sites which provide a superb mix of wide angle and macro subjects, along with plenty of excellent “muck” diving and the opportunity to visit local villages. Heading back west we will stop at the muck slopes at Waiwewong for more critter hunting. Our liveaboard cruise ends in Maumere, where guests can enjoy our complimentary airport transfer.
