Departing from Ambon by, the Damai II liveaboard will dive the muck slopes for the check out dives, hunting for cool critters. We will leave Ambon and head over to the island of Nusa Laut which has some beautiful hard coral reefs with lots of schooling fish and the chance of sharks. Then we will sail to the “Spice Islands” and hopefully take a walk around the historic Banda Neira as well as dive some iconic sites like Batu Kapal and Lava Flow with is hard coral garden. We will travel south to the volcanic island of Manuk, nicknamed the “Island of the Snakes” where we can dive with both sea snakes and sea kraits amongst the schooling fish. From Manuk we will island hop through the southern Malukus, fondly nicknamed the “Forgotten Islands”. We will enjoy the colourful soft-coral covered Tertuti Wall at Dai which has some great ledges and even an arch for photo opportunities. We will explore the deep drop-offs at Damar with the hope of seeing passing pelagics and swim with the schooling fish in channel at Leti. We will dive the hard coral gardens and walls at Nyata before visiting the sloping reefs in Wetar or looking for giant clams at Nautilus. We will spend our last days in Alor’s current rich Pantar Straits and Pulau Pura. There are a variety of dive sites which provide a superb mix of wide angle and macro subjects, along with plenty of excellent “muck” diving and the opportunity to visit local villages. Our liveaboard cruise ends in Kupang where guests can enjoy our complimentary airport transfer.
